Ingredients

  • 6 small apples
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup flour

Instructions

  1. Put the peeled, sliced apples into a baking dish.
  2. Cover the apples with white sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, salt, lemon juice, cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of butter.
  3. Mix oats, 1/2 cup of flour, brown sugar, and 3/4 cube of butter or margarine to make the topping. Press the mixture over the apples.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  5. Serve warm with fresh whipped cream or ice cream.
