Broccoli Platter

A vibrant broccoli platter topped with a creamy, seasoned sauce and crunchy salted peanuts, perfect as a side dish for gatherings or family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. minced onion
  • 1 cup dairy sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp. poppy seed
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 lb. cooked broccoli
  • 1/3 cup chopped salted peanuts

Instructions

  1. Cook the butter and minced onion together in a small skillet over medium heat until the onion is soft, without letting it brown.
  2. Remove the skillet from the heat.
  3. Stir in the sour cream, poppy seed, paprika, salt, and pepper into the butter and onion mixture.
  4. Heat the sauce in the top of a double boiler over boiling water.
  5. Cook the cooked broccoli until heated through.
  6. Lift the broccoli onto a warm platter.
  7. Pour the hot sauce over the broccoli.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped salted peanuts and serve.
