Juicy broiled flank steak with a tangy barbecue marinade, perfect for a quick, flavorful meal suited for casual dinners or outdoor gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. flank steak
  • 1/2 cup tomato juice
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Place flank steak in a glass baking dish.
  2. Combine tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, chopped onion, lemon juice, minced garlic, pepper, and salt to make the marinade.
  3. Pour the marinade over the steak, cover, and refrigerate for 2 hours, turning once.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and place it on a broiler rack.
  5. Brush the steak with the marinade.
  6. Broil the steak 3 inches from the heat for 5 minutes.
  7. Turn the steak and brush with the marinade again.
  8. Broil for an additional 3 minutes or until desired doneness.
