Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan or Romano cheese

Instructions

  1. Stir together melted butter or margarine, crushed basil, paprika, garlic powder, and pepper.
  2. Place potato slices in a single layer on the unheated rack of a broiler pan.
  3. Brush the margarine mixture over both sides of the potato slices.
  4. Broil about 5 inches from heat for 8 to 9 minutes or until potatoes begin to brown.
  5. Using a wide spatula, turn the potatoes over.
  6. Sprinkle the potatoes with grated Parmesan or Romano cheese.
  7. Broil for an additional 4 to 6 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
