Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. Beat egg whites until stiff.
  3. Gradually add brown sugar to the egg whites, mixing well.
  4. Add remaining ingredients: vanilla, baking powder, salt, and nuts.
  5. Spread the coated nuts on a baking sheet.
  6. Roast in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
