  1. Blend vegetable oil, sugar, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add eggs; beat well with a spoon.
  3. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the egg mixture until well blended.
  5. Stir in walnuts.
  6. Spread the batter in a greased 9-inch pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 25 minutes or until the brownie begins to pull away from the edges of the pan.
  8. Cool in the pan.
  9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or frost with chocolate butter frosting.
