- Blend vegetable oil, sugar, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.
- Add eggs; beat well with a spoon.
- Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the egg mixture until well blended.
- Stir in walnuts.
- Spread the batter in a greased 9-inch pan.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 25 minutes or until the brownie begins to pull away from the edges of the pan.
- Cool in the pan.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar or frost with chocolate butter frosting.
