Tips & Substitutions

For a creamier texture, consider using creamy peanut butter instead of crunchy. You can also substitute the margarine with unsalted butter for a richer flavor. If you prefer a different flavor, try adding a splash of vanilla extract instead of maple flavoring. This recipe is versatile, and you can mix in other ingredients like dried fruits or swap out the nuts based on your preference.

Serving Suggestions

Cut the Bun Bar into small squares for a delightful dessert or snack. They pair beautifully with coffee or a glass of milk. Consider serving them alongside Kass'S Pecan Lady Finger Cookies for a sweet treat platter. These bars can also be a fun addition to a dessert table at parties or gatherings.

Storage & Reheating

Store leftover Bun Bar in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. For longer storage, you can freeze the bars, wrapped tightly in plastic wrap and foil. To serve, let them thaw in the refrigerator for a few hours or at room temperature for about 30 minutes before enjoying.
