Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups water
  • 1 cup uncooked bulgur wheat
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 teaspoons chicken flavored bouillon granules
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup frozen green peas

Instructions

  1. Place water in a 2-quart casserole.
  2. Cover with heavy-duty plastic wrap and microwave on High for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes or until boiling.
  3. Slowly pour in bulgur.
  4. Add chopped onion, butter, chicken flavored bouillon granules, minced garlic, and salt.
  5. Cover and microwave on High for 12 minutes.
  6. Add frozen green peas; cover and microwave on High for 5 to 7 minutes or until bulgur is tender and liquid is absorbed.
