Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. lean hamburger
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large bell pepper
  • 1 large can pork and beans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • ketchup

Instructions

  1. Cook the lean hamburger, chopped onion, and bell pepper in a skillet until browned; drain excess fat.
  2. Place the pork and beans into a large mixing bowl and stir in the brown sugar.
  3. Add the cooked hamburger, onion, and bell pepper mixture to the beans and stir to combine.
  4. Squirt ketchup on top and stir until the mixture is soupy.
  5. Pour the mixture into a baking pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 45 minutes until bubbly.
