  1. Brown ground beef and drain excess fat.
  2. In a large Pyrex dish, line the bottom with one pie crust.
  3. Add a layer of ground beef, a layer of butter beans, and a layer of sliced onions.
  4. Cover this with ketchup.
  5. Repeat the layers until the dish is filled, ending with a layer of crust on top.
  6. Crimp the edges of the top crust to seal.
  7. Mix water with ketchup and pour over the top layer to fill the dish completely.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) until the crust is brown.
