Sweet and nutty butter pecan candies with roasted pecans and creamy vanilla flavor, perfect for holiday gift-giving or a delightful treat for pecan lovers.

Ingredients

  • 2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 box powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Roast chopped pecans in butter at 250°F for 15 minutes.
  2. Melt cream cheese in the top of a double boiler.
  3. Add powdered sugar and vanilla to the melted cream cheese.
  4. Mix well until smooth; then add the roasted nuts.
  5. Drop teaspoon-sized amounts onto waxed paper and let dry on one side.
  6. Turn each piece over and let dry on the other side.
  7. Store in a covered container.
