Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 lb. confectioners sugar
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Mix the yellow cake mix, melted margarine, and beaten egg together.
  2. Press the mixture into a 13 x 9-inch pan to form the base layer.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine cream cheese, confectioners sugar, and beaten eggs to make the topping.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake layer in the pan.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and cracked on top.
  6. Allow to cool slightly, then cut into squares and serve.
