Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 3 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 box confectioners sugar
  • 12 oz. milk chocolate chips
  • 4 oz. paraffin wax
  • chopped nuts (optional)
  • chopped cherries (optional)
  • coconut (optional)

Instructions

  1. Use 1/4 cup peanut butter in place of 1/4 cup margarine in the filling.
  2. Cream together margarine (or peanut butter) and cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Gradually add confectioners sugar, mixing until the mixture is fluffy.
  4. Shape the mixture into egg-shaped forms and chill until firm.
  5. Melt milk chocolate chips and paraffin wax together until smooth.
  6. Dip the chilled egg shapes into the melted chocolate to coat completely.
  7. Place the coated eggs on wax paper and decorate with chopped nuts, cherries, or coconut if desired.
  8. Allow the chocolate to set before serving.
