Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup bisquick mix
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Line 12 muffin cups with paper baking cups or grease the bottom only of the muffin cups with shortening.
  3. In a large bowl, stir together all ingredients until blended.
  4. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups.
  5. Bake for 14 to 17 minutes or until golden brown.
