Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups shortening
  • 1 can pumpkin
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 1/2 tablespoon spice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cream together sugar, shortening, pumpkin, then eggs.
  2. Beat well until mixture is smooth and fluffy.
