Ingredients

  • 3 sticks margarine
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 cups sifted cake flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butternut flavoring

Instructions

  1. Beat margarine, cream cheese, and sugar until smooth.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Alternate adding sifted cake flour and eggs to the mixture.
  4. Stir in salt and butternut flavoring.
  5. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  6. Pour batter into a greased pan.
  7. Bake at 325° to 350°F for 1 1/2 hours, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
