Butterscotch Spoonoodles are sweet, crunchy treats combining chow mein noodles with butterscotch and nuts, perfect for a quick dessert or party snack loved by all ages.

Ingredients

  • 3 oz. can chow mein noodles
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 6 oz. package butterscotch chips

Instructions

  1. Combine chow mein noodles and chopped nuts in a bowl and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, combine honey, sugar, butter, vanilla, and salt; bring to a full boil while stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add butterscotch chips and stir until melted and smooth.
  5. Pour the butterscotch mixture over the noodle and nut mixture; gently mix until coated.
  6. Drop heaping teaspoonfuls onto wax paper.
  7. Let stand until set or chill until firm.
