Tips & Substitutions

For a creamier texture, consider using a yogurt-based dressing instead of salad dressing. You can substitute walnuts for pecans if desired, and dried cranberries can replace raisins for a tangier flavor. If fresh pineapple isn't available, canned pineapple works well, just drain it thoroughly. Make sure to finely grind the cabbage and apples for an even mix.

Serving Suggestions

Cabbage Delight is perfect as a side dish for grilled meats or fish, adding a sweet and crunchy contrast. It also pairs beautifully with Summer Special for a refreshing meal. Serve it chilled for a picnic or barbecue, and consider a sprinkle of cinnamon on top for extra flavor.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The flavors will meld as it sits, making it even tastier the next day. To reheat, if desired, warm gently in a microwave while being careful not to overheat, as it can become mushy.
