Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 1 onion
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 3/4 head cabbage
  • V-8 juice

Instructions

  1. Brown ground chuck and chopped onion in a skillet.
  2. Drain well to remove excess fat.
  3. Layer in a Dutch oven: ground chuck and onion, then chopped cabbage, salt, and pepper.
  4. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  5. Pour enough V-8 juice over the layered mixture to reach the top of the layers.
  6. Cover the Dutch oven with a lid.
  7. Simmer for 30 minutes or until the cabbage is tender.
