- Put vegetable oil in a Dutch oven and heat until hot.
- Add bacon strips to the hot oil and brown them.
- Add chopped cabbage, diced onions, and chopped bell peppers to the Dutch oven.
- Add about 1/4 cup of water to the pot.
- Stir in the can of diced Ro-Tel.
- Continue to stir and let simmer until vegetables are tender, about 20-25 minutes.
- Add garlic salt to taste before serving.
