Cabbage Rolls are hearty, savory dishes filled with seasoned ground meat and rice, wrapped in tender cabbage leaves, perfect for comforting family dinners and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • ground beef
  • cooked rice
  • salt
  • pepper
  • green pepper
  • onion
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Mix together ground beef (and pork if desired), cooked rice, salt, pepper, chopped green pepper, chopped onion, and 1 egg.
  2. Place a spoonful of the mixture onto steamed cabbage leaves and roll up.
  3. Arrange the rolls in a baking dish and pour in one can of tomato sauce.
  4. Bake in a 325°F (160°C) oven for approximately 1 hour.
  5. Optionally, use spaghetti sauce in place of plain tomato sauce for extra flavor.
