Ingredients

  • 2 loaves frozen bread dough
  • 1 lb hot sausage
  • 1 large green pepper
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 beaten egg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown sausage with sliced green pepper and onion.
  2. Rinse and drain well.
  3. Mix meat with cheese.
  4. Chill the mixture.
  5. Divide each loaf into 4 pieces, making a total of 8 pieces.
  6. Roll each piece into a circle.
  7. Put approximately 1/2 cup of meat mixture on one half of the circle.
  8. Fold the other half over the meat.
  9. Pinch the ends together well to seal.
  10. Place on a greased cookie sheet.
  11. Bake at 425°F for 15 to 20 minutes.
