Ingredients

  • 1 lb. link sausage or bulk Italian sausage, sliced or crumbled
  • 15 1/2 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • mushrooms
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 15 oz. box corkscrew noodles
  • 1 pkg. Mozzarella cheese, sliced

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage in a skillet; drain excess fat.
  2. Mix the cooked sausage with spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, mushrooms, chopped onion, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Grease a square baking pan.
  4. Layer half of the cooked corkscrew noodles, sliced mozzarella cheese, and meat sauce in the pan.
  5. Repeat the layers with remaining noodles, cheese, and sauce.
  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  7. Cover the pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
  8. Uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
