Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. bulk sausage
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 c. Ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 c. grated Romano cheese
  • 1/2 c. pepperoni
  • 1 c. sliced mushrooms
  • 2 Tbsp. bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c. spaghetti sauce
  • 4 c. spaghetti sauce

Instructions

  1. Let the bread dough rise until doubled in size.
  2. Punch down the dough and roll it out to fit a 9-inch pie pan, creating both a top and bottom crust.
  3. Place the bottom crust in the pie pan and set aside.
  4. Cook the sausage with chopped onion until browned.
  5. Mix the cooked sausage and onion with ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Romano cheese, sliced mushrooms, pepperoni, bread crumbs, and spaghetti sauce.
  6. Pour or spread the filling over the bottom crust.
  7. Cover with the top crust, seal the edges, and cut a few slits on top to vent.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 45 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.
