Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 lb sweet potatoes
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 c pineapple juice
  • 1/2 c brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Cook sweet potatoes until done.
  2. Slice the cooked sweet potatoes and butter them.
  3. Bring the pineapple juice, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and allspice to a boil.
  4. Pour the boiling syrup over the sliced sweet potatoes.
  5. Bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour.
