Ingredients

  • 1 angel food cake mix
  • miniature chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream
  • 1 pound ricotta cheese
  • maraschino cherries

Instructions

  1. Prepare the angel food cake mix as directed and bake.
  2. Beat the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  3. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and 1/2 cup whipped cream to the beaten heavy cream and mix well.
  4. Incorporate ricotta cheese and miniature chocolate chips into the whipped cream mixture.
  5. Tunnel the baked angel food cake and fill the cavity with the ricotta mixture.
  6. Top the filled cake with additional whipped cream and decorate with maraschino cherries.
