Sweet and sticky caramel monkey bread features cinnamon-sugar-coated biscuits baked in a rich caramel sauce, making it perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a delightful dessert gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 4 (7.5 oz) cans buttermilk biscuits

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Combine margarine, brown sugar, and water in a microwavable dish and heat thoroughly to make the syrup.
  3. Use 2 tablespoons of melted margarine to grease a fluted tube pan.
  4. Cut the biscuits in half and roll them in cinnamon sugar (1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon).
  5. Layer some syrup in the bottom of the tube pan, then add some of the coated biscuit halves.
  6. Repeat the layering of syrup and biscuit halves several times.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Immediately invert the pan onto a large platter to serve.
