Ingredients

  • 6 c. Rice Chex
  • 6 c. Corn Chex
  • 6 c. Crispix
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Grease 3 (15 x 10 x 1-inch) baking pans and set aside.
  2. In a large heatproof bowl, combine Rice Chex, Corn Chex, and Crispix cereal and set aside.
  3. In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, bring butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup to a boil, stirring frequently.
  4. Reduce heat, and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the caramel mixture over the cereal mixture and stir until well coated.
  7. Transfer the coated cereal to the prepared pans and spread out to form a thin layer.
  8. Bake uncovered at 200°F for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and cool completely.
  10. Break apart the cooled snack mix and store in airtight containers.
