Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. round steak
  • 1 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, grated
  • 3/4 c. sour cream
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

Instructions

  1. Slice the steak thinly.
  2. Cook the steak, onions, and bell pepper in butter in a frying pan until the steak is cooked thoroughly.
  3. Add sour cream to the pan and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the grated Monterey Jack cheese and cook until the cheese is melted.
  5. Add picante sauce if desired and serve.
