Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. light molasses
  • 4 c. popped popcorn
  • 2 c. shelled peanuts
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. soda
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, molasses, water, vinegar and salt.
  2. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  3. Cook to light crack stage (270°).
  4. Remove from heat; add butter and soda.
  5. Stir well.
  6. Pour over popcorn and peanuts.
  7. Toss well.
