- Cream butter, Crisco, and sugar until the sugar dissolves.
- Add beaten eggs to the mixture.

- Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Pour the batter into a greased and floured tube pan.
- Place the pan in a cold oven.
- Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 1 1/2 hours, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
