Cashew Chip Beef Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 3 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. basil
  • 1/8 tsp. rosemary
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. noodles, cooked and drained
  • 2 c. potato chips, crushed
  • 3/4 c. cashew nuts
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup

Instructions

  1. Brown beef, onion and celery in margarine over medium heat. Arrange beef mixture and noodles in layers in greased 2-quart casserole.
  2. Combine soups, milk and seasonings.
  3. Pour over beef and noodles.
  4. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Bake at 325°
  6. for 1 hour. Uncover and sprinkle with potato chips and nuts and bake 10 more minutes, uncovered.
  7. Serves 6 to 8 people.
