Ingredients

  • 2 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. lite brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 5 c. oatmeal (ground to powder)
  • 24 oz. chocolate chips
  • 1 c. shredded Hershey bar with almonds

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, sugar, and light brown sugar together.
  2. Add beaten eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture.
  3. Sift together and stir in flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  4. Add ground oatmeal to the mixture.
  5. Mix in chocolate chips, crushed Hershey bar with almonds, and pecans.
  6. Roll the dough into golf ball-sized portions and place on a cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake at 370°F (188°C) for 5 minutes.
  8. Press each cookie down from a ball to a pancake shape.
  9. Bake for an additional 7 minutes until golden.
  10. Store the dough in the refrigerator for a few days if desired.
