Ingredients

  • 2 c. dry wide noodles
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 c. cottage cheese
  • 1 can condensed mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/4 to 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
  • 1 diced red pimento
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles until barely done; drain.
  2. Brown the hamburger and onion; drain.
  3. Mix the cooked noodles, browned hamburger and onion, cottage cheese, mushroom soup, milk, Velveeta cheese, and diced red pimento together.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a buttered casserole dish.
  5. Top with buttered bread crumbs.
  6. Bake for one hour at 350°F.
