Ingredients

  • 4 lb. beef roast
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 4 c. water
  • 6 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef roast in oil in a Dutch oven, turning to coat all sides.
  2. Add 4 cups of water and the beef bouillon cubes to the Dutch oven.
  3. Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the top of the roast.
  4. Simmer for 3 1/2 to 4 hours, turning occasionally, adding more water as needed.
