Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped ripe olives
  • 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 1/2 cups canned tomatoes
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in cooking oil in a skillet.
  2. Add chopped olives, chopped onion, diced celery, chopped green pepper, and rice; sauté together until fragrant.
  3. Add canned tomatoes, water, salt, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper; bring to a full boil.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch casserole dish.
  5. Cover and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes to 1 hour until cooked through.
