Ingredients

  • Pastry for a single crust pie
  • 4 tart apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the pastry to fit a 12-inch pizza pan and flute the edges. Bake for 10 minutes.
  2. Arrange the peeled and sliced apples in a single circular layer to cover the partially baked pastry.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the apples.
  4. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, chopped walnuts, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the cheese and apples.
  6. Cut the cold butter into small pieces and dot evenly over the top.
  7. Return the pizza to the oven and bake until the apples are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 10 minutes.
