Tips & Substitutions

For added flavor, consider using ground turkey or chicken instead of hamburger. You can substitute the baked beans with other varieties, like navy or pinto beans, for a different taste. Adding some diced bell peppers or jalapeños will give it an extra kick. If you prefer a sweeter dish, reduce the brown sugar slightly and incorporate some barbecue sauce instead.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this dish with a fresh green salad or coleslaw for a refreshing contrast. It also pairs beautifully with Easy Can Soup for a hearty meal. For a fun twist, consider using the meat mixture as a filling for tacos or burritos. Garnish each serving with fresh herbs or diced onions for added flavor and texture.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, simply microwave individual portions on high for 1-2 minutes or until heated through. If reheating the entire dish, cover it with foil to prevent drying out and heat in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 20 minutes.
