- Grate the Swiss cheese and toss with flour.

- Arrange the tomato slices over the onion layer, then cover with the remaining cheese.
- Beat the eggs with milk or cream and pour the mixture over the cheese in the pie.
- Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes or until the pie is firm and golden.
