Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 14 oz. sharp cheese, grated
  • dash of Tabasco or paprika
  • 1/2 lb. margarine
  • 1 box whole dates
  • pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Have cheese and margarine at room temperature; blend well. Mix in seasonings well and cut in flour (best by hand).
  2. Chill dough.
  3. Stuff a date with a pecan half and form cheese dough around each date.
  4. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 375°F for 15 to 18 minutes.
