Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • 2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Mix yeast, warm water, and 1 teaspoon sugar in a small bowl.
  2. Let stand for 10 minutes until frothy.
  3. Add the beaten egg to the yeast mixture and set aside.
  4. Cut margarine into the flour and salt until crumbly.
  5. Add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture and mix well.
  6. Divide the dough into 2 balls.
  7. Roll each dough ball into an 8 x 10-inch rectangle.
