Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. sharp cheese
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • pecans

Instructions

  1. Grate cheese and mix with softened butter.
  2. Add flour and salt; work mixture with hands until it firms up.
  3. Shape into a long roll; wrap in waxed paper.
  4. Refrigerate.
  5. Cut as for icebox cookies.
  6. Put pecan pieces on top.
  7. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
