- Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with Pam.
- Place the frozen hash brown potatoes in the baking dish.
- Place the dish in the oven to start cooking the potatoes.
- Melt the stick of butter in a pan.
- Mix the frozen onions into the melted butter.
- Add the Cheddar cheese soup, sour cream, and shredded Cheddar cheese to the mixture.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the mixture over the potatoes in the baking dish.
- Prepare the topping by melting butter and mixing it with corn flakes.
- Sprinkle the corn flake mixture evenly over the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
