Ingredients

  • 3/4 to 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 (15 oz.) can diced tomatoes in puree
  • 1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. curry powder
  • 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. In a heavy skillet or saucepan, sauté together beef and onions until the beef has lost its pinkness.
  2. Cook over low heat.
  3. Add tomatoes, kidney beans and their liquid, salt, chili powder, and curry powder.
  4. Simmer over moderate heat for 12 to 15 minutes.
