Ingredients

  • 6 medium potatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 lb. cheese (Velveeta)
  • 2 or 3 dashes pepper
  • 2 or 3 dashes garlic salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice the potatoes, then rinse them.
  2. Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover with water just enough to cover them.
  3. Add pepper, garlic salt, and chopped onion to the pot.
  4. Cook over medium heat until the potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat to low, then add milk and cheese to the pot.
  6. Stir often until the cheese is melted and the soup is heated through.
  7. Serve hot.
