Ingredients

  • 2 (18 oz.) cans baked beans
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • sliced onions
  • 1 cup (4 oz.) shredded American cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the baked beans, chili sauce, brown sugar, and prepared mustard in a bowl.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 1 1/2-quart rectangular baking dish.
  4. Arrange sliced onions on top of the bean mixture.
  5. Bake until hot and bubbly, about 35 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle shredded American cheese over the top.
  7. Bake an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
