Ingredients

  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/3 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Egg, separated
  • 1/2 Tsp. Vanilla or Almond Extract
  • 16 oz. Refrigerated Crescent Rolls (2 cans, 8 oz. each)
  • 1 Cup Cherry Pie Filling

Instructions

  1. Beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla or almond extract together until smooth.
  2. Remove the crescent rolls from their cans.
  3. Save 4 pieces of dough and arrange the remaining 12 pieces on a 15-inch baking stone with the long points in the center.
  4. Let the pieces hang over the edge of the baking stone.
  5. Push the dough together to cover the stone, leaving the center open.
  6. Fold up the center tips of the dough to leave a hole in the middle.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough.
  8. Top with cherry pie filling.
  9. Press perforations on the saved dough and cut each piece lengthwise into 8 strips.
  10. Twist each strip and lay them over the filling like spokes on a wheel.
  11. Fold the outer edge dough over the spokes and fold the tips of the dough in the center.
  12. Brush the dough with beaten egg white.
