- Spread the can of pie cherries evenly over the dough in the pan.
- Take small portions of the remaining 1/4 dough, add a little flour if needed, and flatten between hands into thin patches.
- Place these patches randomly over the cherries, creating a patchwork effect.
- Bake at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the top is firm.
