Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 can cherry pie filling, drained
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 3 egg yolks

Instructions

  1. Mix the cake mix, butter, and finely chopped pecans.
  2. Press the mixture lightly into a 9 x 13-inch pan, building up the sides.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes at 350°F.
  4. Spread the drained cherry pie filling over the warm crust.
  5. Mix sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle over the cherries.
  6. Combine sour cream and egg yolks and spoon over the cherries.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes until set.
