  5. Gradually add 1/4 cup sugar to the yolks and beat until thick and fluffy.
  6. Fold the flour mixture into the yolks.
  7. Gently fold the yolk mixture into the beaten whites.
  8. Spread the batter in a greased and floured 10-inch round cake pan.
  9. Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 30 minutes.
